Student Life

Robotics

Jesuit supports an extensive Robotics program where students can develop science, engineering and technology skills. The program is offered as both an extracurricular activity and a local credit course (Pass/Fail). The program seeks to educate students in all phases of the project life cycle: Problem Analysis, Design, Implementation, Testing, and Revision/Support. A variety of programs and projects take place during the school year which foster these goals. Primary meeting times are after school and on weekends. Students who have an exploratory interest in engineering as a college major are especially welcome to seek an enrichment experience through the program.

Mission

The Jesuit robotics program seeks to inspire students and the local community to pursue careers in science and technology. We prepare students to make an informed decision about their college major and future career by giving them hands-on experience with industry standard equipment and practices framed within the competitions created by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) robotics.
