Dear Jesuit families,
Please be advised that we will be returning to a Gold/Blue hybrid model beginning tomorrow, Tuesday, Feb. 9 and extending through at least Friday, Feb. 19. We will send a separate communication during the week of February 15 with further decisions on in-classroom instruction.
We have experienced an increase in the number of students needing to quarantine in the last few weeks and are committed to preserving the rest of the semester without increasing the risk of exposure to our students, faculty, and staff.
In some ways, it would be easier to just go virtual for the next 10 days, but we do not think shutting down campus is the best path forward for the mental health and education of our students. Additionally, we do not believe in-classroom instruction is the cause of the surge.
We remain confident in our protocols but will be modifying activities and the use of certain spaces on campus. We would like to thank our families for their commitment in helping us to maintain a safe environment and encourage all members of our Jesuit community to wear masks and not engage in behavior outside of school that puts your son and his classmates at an increased risk.
As a reminder to our parents and students, Mondays and Thursdays are Blue cohort days, and Tuesdays and Fridays are Gold cohort days. Wednesday will remain a virtual day of learning for all students.
