About
Continuing Response to Covid-19 - March 19, 2020

To our community,
This is an extraordinarily challenging period for the world. Our strength at Jesuit is our desire to be together and to celebrate the joy of our community, and we are particularly challenged by how this global crisis has impacted our families and created the need for social distancing.
The Jesuit Dallas administration is closely monitoring the continuing news of Covid-19, and following the recommended guidelines from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the U.S. State Department, and Dallas County officials in providing a response that considers the safest path forward for our students, faculty, staff, and families. Earlier today, Gov. Abbott issued a statewide declaration that was in line with our continuing response.
Please be advised that Jesuit will be extending an eLearning protocol through Sunday, April 5. The school is closed for all non-essential personnel during this time, and we ask that if you need to access campus to please call ahead for approval. All school-sponsored extracurricular activities, including rehearsals, practices, competitions, clubs and service initiatives are also suspended through April 5. School administration is in frequent communication, and will assess our continuing response on a weekly basis.
Out of sensitivity to our community, the Celebration Auction, scheduled for March 28, has been postponed. The Auction creates life-changing opportunities for many young men who otherwise would not be able to experience a Jesuit education, and we are committed to having this event at a date to be determined later.
Our priority is the wellness and safety of our Jesuit community, and we will continue to make decisions based on facts. Please continue to monitor recommendations from the CDC, and do your part in helping to stem the spread of this pandemic. I remain grateful for the abundance of support our community continues to show to one another, and I firmly believe that with God's grace we will get through these challenging times and realize a bright future. Jesuit Education remains a beacon to help our world realize this bright future through our students.
