Thank you for your continued feedback and transparency regarding our eLearning activity and for what we know was a different – and memorable – graduation experience for the Class of 2020.
We have stressed the health and safety of your sons and our community as a priority throughout the current global health crisis, and have been strict in adhering to all State-mandated and CDC-recommended social distancing guidelines. All students attending graduation had to clear a health screen and temperature check, and students were required to wear a mask at all times, except for when they crossed the stage to receive their diplomas.
We have recently been made aware that three of our seniors tested positive for Covid-19 sometime following graduation. It is not clear when they contracted the virus, and all attended other events or gatherings after the commencement ceremony.
Unfortunately, we expect to hear confirmation of additional cases of Covid-19 within our community throughout the summer, but will be intently following protocols that provide for the safe return to campus. If you or one of your family members think you may have contracted Covid-19, please call your doctor and submit a report to your local county health department.
It was an absolute joy to celebrate with our young men last Friday. We are excited for their future, and look forward to all the wonderful ways in which they will live out our mission. Have a great summer, and please stay safe.
