"World Hunger Relief Farm Retreat"
October | Senior Classmen
March/April | Junior Classmen
This new immersion experience provides students the opportunity to live at the World Hunger Relief farm in central Texas and explore the connections between food systems, the environment, and systemic poverty. Through Ignatian spiritual exercises, the trip also asks students to examine the intersection between these issues and their own personal faith journey. Days will be spent working on the farm actively supporting the farm’s educational program, livestock program, and seasonal growing efforts. Students will camp on the farm for three nights (Thursday - Sunday).
