Applicant Criteria
Jesuit Dallas employs a comprehensive application review process that is managed by the Admissions Committee, under the direction of the Director of Enrollment Management and Director of Admissions. This committee evaluates all mandatory application components, encompassing academic accomplishments, involvements and leadership, grades, endorsements from math and English teachers, a personal recommendation, performance on the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE), prospects for future formation, and participation in a personal interview.
Admission is not solely determined by any single factor but the following are strongly considered:
- Successful completion of the preceding grade is a prerequisite for application.
- Competitive applicants have a strong A/B average in academic courses and score in the 60th percentile or higher across all four sections of the ISEE (Verbal Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Reasoning, Mathematics Achievement).
- Positive recommendations reflecting traits such as diligence, responsibility, integrity, curiosity, consistent attendance, and respect both inside and outside the classroom.
- Special consideration is extended to applicants affiliated with the Catholic Church, sons and siblings of Jesuit Dallas alumni, and/or siblings of current students at Jesuit Dallas.
Jesuit Dallas admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all the rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admission policies, athletics, scholarships and aid programs, and other school-administered policies.
