Anna Sue Munchrath is the wife of Raymond Munchrath '62. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
Anna Sue Munchrath Anna Sue (Eastman) Munchrath entered her eternal reward on Thursday, May 7, 2020. Born September 20, 1946 in Fort Worth, Texas to Albert and Mary Elizabeth (Wiley) Eastman, she is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ray Munchrath; son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Judy Munchrath; four grandchildren: Luke, Garrett, Joy and Libby Munchrath; brother Howard Wayne Eastman, and many other extended family members. A 1965 graduate of Sunset High School in Dallas Texas, she spent her life giving of herself to others. When her son Chris started school, she volunteered for many years, first at St. Cecilia Catholic School in Dallas, and then St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic School, also in Dallas. She had a successful career as an Executive Assistant with Atos Origin for over 33 years, and after retiring, she again returned to volunteering, giving of herself to both the Ladies Guild and Vacation Bible School at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church. Sue spent her early years in Aledo, Texas where much of her extended family lived as well. Surrounded by such an abundance of relatives, she had many fond memories of family gatherings and cousin adventures. Her family moved to Dallas when she was 12, and it was shortly thereafter that she and Ray met. Theirs is truly a "love of a lifetime" story. When Sue's dad was to be transferred out of state for work, Ray knew he could not let her go. They eloped in 1964 and together, over the next 56 years, built a life and love together that was, and will remain, a beautiful example of fidelity and commitment. Sue will be remembered by those who knew and loved her for her kind, helping ways, her quiet yet unwavering strength, her dedication to family, and her love of shopping. She will be remembered by her grandchildren for being present at almost every school and family event, and for all the spoiling only a grandparent can get away with. A Rosary Service will begin at 7 PM, Wednesday May 13, 2020 at Jaynes Memorial Chapel. Visitation time will follow the Rosary until 9 PM. (Attendance is limited to 50 or less) The Mass of Christian Burial/Funeral will be held at 10 AM, Thursday, May 14, 2020 at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic Church, 4019 S.
