ELIZABETH ANN VILFORDI Elizabeth Ann Vilfordi left this world early in the morning of December 23, 2020. She was born September 20, 1928, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Turner and Marie Hackman. The older of two sisters, Elizabeth lived as a young girl in St. Paul, New Orleans and finally Dallas where she attended Highland Park High School. She then attended Stephens College and graduated from Southern Methodist University with a degree in psychology. At SMU, she met the love of her life, George L. Vilfordi. They married on December 29, 1948, and continued their married life for the next sixty-seven years. Elizabeth had a full and active life raising four children and being a great friend to many. She was an accomplished woman who was a loving and supportive wife, a concerned and involved mom and an excellent cook! She had an adventurous spirit and loved life as evidenced by her world-wide travels and love of her summer home in Northern Minnesota where she and George spent most of their summers. Elizabeth also gave generously of herself as a volunteer at North Dallas Shared Ministries for over thirty years. A woman with a spirit larger than life, she will be greatly missed! Elizabeth is preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister and is survived by: Christopher Vilfordi and Alicia, Claudia Vilfordi, George L. Vilfordi III and wife Lynda, and Jennifer Dove and husband Tim Dove. Known affectionately as "Bobbi," she will be tremendously missed by her ten grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
