He was a graphical illustrator at Raytheon for thirty-two years. He was an avid aviation and space enthusiast. He was a strong supporter of the SpaceX program and a member of the NASA space flight blog. He built and flew remote control planes and was a member of the Richardson Radio Control Club. He was a marine aquarium enthusiast and a discus breeder. He was a member of The Dallas Marine Aquarium society. He was one of a kind; highly intelligent, an "Apple Wizard," funny, and kind to everyone. Thomas is survived by his sisters, Deborah Rothermel of Double Oak, Texas and Laurie Cronan of Frisco, Texas; brothers, Mike Hanley of Granbury, Texas, and Bill Hanley of Dallas, Texas. See below for invitation to his celebration of life:

Please join us Friday, July 27, 6 p.m., to celebrate the life of a one-of-a-kind unique friend to us all. Tommy passed away at home Friday, July 6th.  Although he is now free from a broken body, those of us remaining are very sad to lose him.  We want to honor him and celebrate his life with his many friends, share stories, and life memories. The celebration will be at the Frontiers of Flight Museum on Lemmon Ave, Dallas, where we can all share and enjoy his passion:  Aviation and SPACE - fitting for Tom.  This is a casual affair.  Please wear any space related attire and/or a favorite hat.  Many of the Texas Tech crew would have "Hat Night" parties, so the hats are fitting :-)

We will serve light refreshments.  Please rsvp so I can order appropriate food, and bring your STORIES to share.  Feel free to share this with others.  I want to reach all of his friends.

If you have any pictures you can share, please email those to: lauriecronan@gmail.com. I will put together a video/slide show.

If you have any comments/stories to share, please take a moment to click on the legacy.com link .

Out of towners/"Motley Crew":  I hope this gives you plenty of time to make arrangements and maybe take advantage of the weekend to visit with local friends. Tom would like that.
