Milton Fechtel is a member of the Jesuit Class of 1962. 

He is the brother of Charlie Fechtel '69 and Randy Fechtel '71.

JAMES MILTON FECHTEL '62

James Milton Fechtel, 74, passed away of cancer on October 15th, 2018. Milton was born in Dallas, Texas on August 22, 1944. He was the oldest of six siblings, and graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas and the University of Texas at Austin. Milton's interests were broad. He worked as a computer consultant for most of his career. He was an avid reader and loved to learn. For fun, he taught himself auto mechanics to dismantle and rebuild a car, earned his electrician's license on a whim, and read Shakespeare and math theory. He was a scratch golfer, an avid hunter, and a recreational pilot and loved to spend his free time doing all in the company of friends and family. Milton is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Hazel Fechtel. He is survived by his wife Nancy Noel Fechtel, his son Doug Fechtel, and his daughter Lizzi Fechtel. He is also survived by his siblings: Alicia Fechtel, Marilou Logan, Charles Fechtel and wife TJ, Randy Fechtel and wife Susan, and Rita Fechtel and husband David Cooley; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 25th, 2018 at Highland Park United Methodist Church, Cox Chapel, 3300 Mockingbird Ln, Dallas, TX 75205
