Tony Iwanski is a member of the Jesuit Dallas Class of 1966. He is the brother of John Iwanski '62. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.
Tony Iwanski '66 Born November 1, 1949 in Dallas, Texas and passed away July 14, 2019 at the age of 69 in Dallas, Texas. Tony is proceeded in death by his parents Mary and Ted Iwanski and brother Jim Iwanski. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Linda Iwanski, son Jesse Iwanski and daughter Rachel Iwanski, brothers Jon, Paul and wife Laura, sister Charlotte and husband Dale Williams, brother Steve and husband Daniel and numerous other family members and friends.
Tony enjoyed watching horse racing and even went to the Kentucky Derby. He also helped coach Basketball in the Mesquite City League and had the pleasure of coaching his own children. Tony enjoyed watching Football and Basketball and was a very skilled gambler. He was a member of the Mesquite Community Theatre and was very involved as an actor and Technical Director. In January 2019 the Theater honored him by changing the name of the Set Designer Award to the Tony Iwanski Set Design Award. He was also a member of the Mesquite Arts Council Grant Committee and volunteered as an actor for Historic Mesquite. He also did character roles for Story Book Ballet Theater including Herr Drosselmeyer in the Nutcracker. He was very active in his children's school and volunteered for anything and in any area that would help. With all his accomplishments in life it was his family that meant the most to him and being a father to his 2 children and a husband to his lovely wife.
In honor of Tony Iwanski, memorial contributions can be made to the Mesquite Community Theatre located at 1527 N. Galloway Avenue, Mesquite, TX 75149.
