David Brian Brighton Brighton, David B. age 50 of Elk River. David was born September 29th 1968 and died April 24th 2019. Graduated Fridley High School in 1987, and Anoka Hennepin Technical College in 1993 with a welding degree. Served in the US Army and Army National Guard. Married June 23rd 2001 to Michelle (Woodbury). Preceded in death by daughter, Lyndsey and father-in-law, Maynard Woodbury. Survived by wife, Michelle; parents, Douglas and Lois; mother-in-law, Beverly Woodbury; siblings, Michelle (Stevie) Griffin and children, Elena, Madison and Jasper; Theresa (Edward) Frey and children, Douglas, Irene, Will, Gabe, Victor and August; Pamela (Bryce) Carlson and children, Naomi and Carissa; sister-in-law, Lynn (Scott) Pipho; brother-in-law, James Woodbury and children, Christian and Darcy and great nieces and nephews and many aunts and uncles; pets, Dickens and Cooper. David enjoyed golfing, poker, fishing, all types of professional sports, most of all the Minnesota Vikings. He loved sharing his fishing story of catching his 29 inch large mouth bass. Funeral service Saturday (4/27/2019) 4 PM at United Church of Christ, 1000 Long Lake Road, New Brighton. Visitaton 1 hour prior to service. Private interment St. Patrick's Cemetery. David's father, Douglas Brighton '53 writes, "Thank you to everyone who has prayed for our son during the past six years. David was on many prayer chains, but I believe Jesuit was by far the largest. We are very appreciative for all your prayers."
