Fathers and sons, set aside one Sunday to walk the road together. Rooted in Christ, The Road is a personal day of real conversation, friendly competition, and prayer, built around time for just the two of you. Most of the retreat is father-son time: a long walk together, guided conversations, and space to talk about what matters most - like your hopes and dreams, what you see in each other, and what you need from each other. We'll provide a few talks, the questions and the setting; you bring yourselves and an open mind. Along the way, we mark six things worth carrying for life: authenticity, responsibility, compassion, freedom, forgiveness, and service. The day includes breakfast and lunch, a Minefield challenge/trust-walk, a few father-son games, Mass, and an opportunity for Confession.
The retreat will be directed by Richard Joubert, SJ. Mr. Joubert teaches theology and serves as a campus minister and athletics chaplain. Questions? Contact Mr. Joubert at rjoubert@jesuitcp.org or 972-387-8700 x365.
All fathers and sons are welcome. If a student’s father is unable to attend, another significant adult male is welcome to attend in his place.
