Student Activities
- Congratulations to Cole Frutos ’23 for winning Saturday’s COVID-19 Online Open Chess Tournament and Fundraiser. Cole went undefeated through five rounds to become the new #1 Chess Player at Jesuit, followed by #2 Angel Guevara '22 and #3 Spencer Jewesson '23. Finally, thank you to the 32 participants who raised $687 to support Minnie’s Food Pantry.
- By request there will be a second Open Mic this Thursday at 3:30pm, hosted Rawley Schott '20 & Jack Garrison '21.
- The Jesuit Roundup would like you to consider being a part of an emerging team of media personnel. We are looking for people who are interested in being involved in taking pictures for articles and photo galleries, making films, profiles, and interviews, or expressing themselves creatively in artistic ways such as in music or art. Here is the application.

- Good luck to everyone taking an AP Exam today. To those taking an exam, please make sure you have reminders set for the start times. The schedule for today: AP Calculus (AB and BC) at 1:00pm CST & AP Human Geography at 3:00pm CST.

- Thank you to Santiago Day '21 for our Examen today.
- Yesterday, I shared with you a video of a Jesuit scholastic rapping about the coronavirus. Did you know that Jesuits also lift and set records for it? This past February, Br. Pat Douglas, S.J. broke a world record in weightlifting. Read about him and other unique Jesuits here.

- Good luck to everyone taking an AP Exam today. To those taking an exam, please make sure you have reminders set for the start times. The schedule for today: AP Physics 2 at 11:00 AM CST, AP English Literature and Composition at 1:00 PM CST, & AP European History at 3:00 PM CST.

- Today is the Feast of Our Lady of Fatima - this is when Our Lady appeared to three children and asked them to pray the rosary for world peace. Wednesdays are also the day we prayed the rosary in the prayer garden. Consider taking a moment today to pray a rosary for peace. You can pray along with the Jesuit Dallas rosary here.

Announcements for May 14, 2020:
Jesuit Dallas Class of 2020
- Shine On! We want to help commemorate this year’s seniors by inviting them to share a photo and/or memory of their classmates, including their fallen brothers Guy and Jimmie, on their social media channels throughout the day on Saturday and tag Jesuit Dallas. To cap this special day of honor and remembrance, we will be turning on the lights at Postell Stadium at 8:20 p.m. (20:20 military time). Seniors will be invited to drive onto campus between 8:20-9 p.m. through the St. Rita entrance and loop around the campus before exiting onto Inwood Road (students must remain inside their vehicle at all times and walk ups will not be permitted). We are proud of our seniors and know that they will continue to Shine On!
Student Academics
- The last day of classes is May 22nd, just a week away! If you have missing assignments, please take this opportunity to look at missing work and come up with a plan to submit the work before May 29th. Communication with your teachers is key if you are in a position where you will need to be finishing work after May 22nd. Please make sure you are in classes during their synchronous scheduled meeting time.

College Counseling
- The College Map is here! You can track where the Class of 2020 will be attending school next year by visiting https://collegemap.jesuitcp.org/2020/. The website will prompt you for a username and password. Use the same credentials that you would to log into a computer at school to explore the interactive map!
- Attention Juniors. Mr. Fitzsimmons and Mr. Shoemaker are still conducting college meetings with you and your family to help begin the process. To sign up for a meeting, click here and fill out the google form. Be sure to coordinate with your parents when selecting a date and time. All meetings will take place over Microsoft Teams. We are looking forward to meeting with you!
- Seniors! If you have not uploaded a picture of yourself to the College Shirt Day Google form, please do so ASAP. We want you to be a part of this special project for you and your parents. If you are still deciding on which college to attend, feel free to include a picture in a Jesuit t-shirt, holding a giant questions mark sign, or just a smile! The form can be found here.
