- Just as a reminder, all students are invited to join the Math Lab with any questions they have four days a week from 2:00-2:45 PM. College Counseling
- The College Map is here! You can now track where the Class of 2020 will be attending school next year by visiting https://collegemap.jesuitcp.org/2020/. The website will prompt you for a username and password. Use the same credentials that you would to log into a computer at school to explore the interactive map! Seniors, to add your name to the map you need to submit the College Application Summary that you received via email.
- Attention Juniors: Mr. Fitzsimmons and Mr. Shoemaker are still conducting college meetings with you and your family to help begin the process. To sign up for a meeting, click here and fill out the Google form. Be sure to coordinate with your parents when selecting a date and time. All meetings will take place over Microsoft Teams. We are looking forward to meeting with you!
Service
- Juniors: Complete your Senior Service Self-Assessment no later than Wednesday, April 29th. The link can be found on the Moodle homepage as well as in a direct email from Dr. Riemer. The information in your assessment will be used to pair you with a year-long service experience/project during your senior year.
Campus Ministry
- Back in November, we were joined by Fr. Roy Joseph, S.J., of Monserrat Retreat House for our All Saints Day Mass. He joins us again from quarantine in the Jesuit Dallas Residence with today’s Examen.
- If you are looking for a short daily prayer and examen to do in addition to our Jesuit Dallas prayers, check out jesuitprayer.org. This website, which is also an app for your handheld device, has a short reflection on the daily readings as well as a daily examen. You can even have the app remind you to pray every morning.

Announcements
Announcements for April 23, 2020:
Student Formation
- Junior/Senior prom, scheduled for April 4, has been canceled. As noted in President’s Earsing's letter to seniors on April 17, because the magnitude of closures and social distancing measures prevent a quick return to acceptable gatherings of large groups of people in confined spaces, we are unable to provide a traditional prom. We are incredibly sorry about this loss, and Jesuit Dallas has begun issuing refunds for tickets purchased for the event. Refunds will be made to the credit card used to purchase the tickets. All refunds will be processed by April 30, 2020. Any questions regarding prom ticket refunds can be sent to Alexa Scott in the finance office at ascott@jesuitcp.org.
Student Academics
- Please note the last day of classes will remain unchanged. May 7th will be the last day of classes for seniors, and May 22nd for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. There will be no final exams during the week of May 26th-29th.
- The week of May 26th-29th will be used to tie up loose ends and work with teachers if necessary. Please note, some classes already have a project or paper in the works, and some classes are offering an optional assessment at the end of the semester to offer another opportunity to show understanding.
- In light of the information that we will be in an eLearning environment for the rest of the school year, the Admin Team has been reviewing the eLearning protocol and will send updates via these morning announcements.
- Teachers are working on more opportunities for student engagement and we encourage you to join all your online classes. Although we recognize this is not always possible, please let your teacher know if you will not be present for a class session.
Campus Ministry
- Today’s Examen is brought to you by Fr. Jonathan Harmon, S.J. Fr. Harmon did his regency at Jesuit Dallas. He is also the artist that made the Pope Francis digital painting in the Ministry & Service Commons. You can find his religious art here.
- If you want more Ignatian resources to continue the celebration of Earth Day this week, our Jesuit Province published a comprehensive list of resources yesterday.
- Stay tuned for tomorrow’s #fridayprayerservice given by the Waco Poverty Immersion Team.
