“Are you curious to know what walking positivity looks like,” rhetorically asked a nominating student, “then meet Nathan Volle-Kobell, who radiates a positive outlook and lifts those around him.” Nathan is a leader in campus ministry and serves as an Executive Big Brother. He also sings in the choir, is a member of Jesuit’s district-winning swimming & diving team and is a Kairos Retreat leader. He earned a cascade of nominations for Ranger of the Week, not for any singular achievement, but by exemplifying what it means to be a Man for Others.

Said one member of the faculty, “Introspective, honest, and incredibly thoughtful are words to describe Nathan. He is kind to literally everyone he comes into contact with. He treats others like we all would like to be treated – no matter how he is treated in return. Nathan has taken a genuine interest in the history of Jesuit Dallas from the original architecture to the school’s many traditions. He is very dedicated to the ideals of Ignatian spirituality. 

“Nathan was a wonderful leader for his senior brothers earlier this Spring at Kairos and will be helping lead the junior leaders in a few weeks,” shared another nomination. “He is a person who is 100% true to himself, and he helps others know by his example they can do the same. He also has a big heart for God and others.”

It seems that whether he is leading the Examen, singing in the choir, serving his community, or doing laps in the pool, Nathan is a force of good. Congratulations on his selection as Ranger of the Week.
