Junior Jack Betz is described as a “quick-witted, confident and a strong leader,” gifts he has applied to build up his classmates and the extended community. As a member of the Ignatian Service Corps – a key service leadership organization at Jesuit – Jack has led a variety of service programs this year and has been praised for his ability to cultivate a sense of team with his peers.

Said one faculty member, “Jack knows how to engage our service partners and make each event more effective and more personal. He’s an outstanding young man and his sustained commitment to Equest and the Food Rescue Program at Jesuit has enhanced the quality of life for many children and adults throughout the metroplex.”

A captain on the Rangers’ cross country team, Jack emerged as one of the team’s top performers this year and helped lead Jesuit to the UIL District 7-6A Championship. According to one of coaches, “his work habits, mental toughness, and leadership skills have the respect and trust of his teammates.”

“I have known Jack since his freshman year when he joined the car club,” added that program’s moderator. “Like many members, Jack has a strong love for cars and anything mechanical. However, one thing that sets him apart from others is his unbelievable dependability. Jack is truly a man for others.”

Congratulations to junior Jack Betz, Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week.
