“Brody Carlson is a shining example of God's love in the Jesuit community,” said a member of Jesuit’s teaching faculty. Elected to the Hope Squad as a freshman, Brody has been a leading voice on campus in regard to mental health advocacy and was part of a group of students recognized by the Grant Halliburton Foundation with the Beacon of Hope Award.

Brody serves in several leadership roles on campus and is one of Jesuit’s admissions ambassadors. He is also active in his service and participated in the summer immersion experience to the Lake Atitlan region of Guatemala, helping to improve the health and wellbeing of the mainly Mayan population.

“Brody is an ideal Jesuit ambassador, always showing kindness, friendliness, and hospitality,” said another nomination. “Visitors to campus are amazed and impressed with his maturity and eloquence.”

Aside from being academically gifted, one teacher described Brody as “a great steady presence. A quiet and humble leader who is clearly trusted by his classmates.” Another remarked, “empathetic beyond his years, compassionate with his peers, and a beacon of light for those who may be going through dark times.”
