Senior Jose Alvarado has gone above and beyond in almost every extracurricular he has taken on. He works hard to ensure that everyone around him is included and welcome, whether it be in the classroom or within the community.

As a Honduran himself, Jose decided to get involved in the Hope for Honduras Program as an opportunity to give back. He was instrumental in their recent Hope for Honduras 5K which included over 100 runners from various diocesan schools. “Although he has already completed his service requirements, he still joined the program in a leadership role so that his Jesuit brothers could fully access the culture and language,” shared one of his faculty members.

As an elected member of Student Council, Jose worked with Campus Ministry to create and organize an interactive Examen. Another faculty member wrote “he wanted to check-up on his Jesuit brothers, through prayerful reflection — a true testament for being a man for others in all aspects of the Profile of a Graduate.”

Jose is described as someone who “helps others around him rise to the occasion as well.” He is involved in Band, Hope Squad, Student Council, Engineering Society, and the Warhammer Club, attended the summer immersion trip to Monterey, Mexico, and is completing his senior service at United to Learn.

In recognition of his creative leadership and dedication to service, congratulations to Jose Alvarado ‘23, Ranger of the Week.
