Ranger of the Week Joshua Lim ’23 has been a cornerstone in the Jesuit Dallas music program for the past four years. Recently, Lim participated in the Texas Private School Music Educators Association (TPSMEA) All-State Concert on trombone after achieving the remarkable distinction of earning TPSMEA All-State band honors for the fourth consecutive year.

“Joshua is one of our very top academic students and a supremely talented musician,” said a member of the faculty. “His dedication is exemplary, and he takes a lot of pride in being a leader for his classmates.”

Joshua served as drum major this year for the Jesuit Ursuline Ranger Band (JURB) and helped lead JURB to a superior rating from all three judges at the TPSMEA State Marching Contest. He also commits to sharing his musical talents to lift the spirits of the participants at the Catholic Charities Brady Center for the elderly each week.

“Joshua has a big service heart and is a model student,” shared another nomination. “He is completing his senior service intensive at the Low Vision Family Assistance Eye Clinic on Saturday mornings this spring. His supervisors have complimented his kind, gentle, understanding way of engaging with clients as well as his perfect record of attendance and commitment to the program.”

Congratulations to Joshua Lim on a tremendous extracurricular achievement and for being named Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week.
