The selfless sense of spirit, which is a recurring attribute for our busy and motivated young men, can be so pronounced that is recognized by fellow students and staff for being extraordinary. Such is the case for senior Griffin Fellows, who recently finished a long evening promoting Jesuit athletics by arriving early the next morning to lead admissions interview for the Class of 2027.

“Griffin gives his talents to serve others, and that was on full display when he arrived at Jesuit eager to connect with prospective families in next year’s freshman class,” an administrator exclaimed. “He’s always arriving early to school and staying late as a leader for the Jesuit Ranger Sports Network, but I marveled at his energy that day, which was incredibly infectious.”

Griffin serves in the food pantry at the Wilkson Center as his senior service practicum placement, where the director at the center has praised his leadership, work ethic, and compassion. A member of the athletic department’s Leadership Huddle, Griffin was presented with the Rich Harrington ’95 Award at the conclusion of the cross country season, as the teammate who best exemplifies the qualities of leadership, team unity, excellence at practice, and a love for the sport.

“Griffin is truly an agent of hospitality,” shared another nomination. “I know that he is serving in our Texas Ramps spring build team as part of his senior service intensive on Saturday mornings, and he is humble, caring, and the ultimate teammate in all his activities at Jesuit.”
