More Than Four

Dear Friends,

Jesuit has given so much to our family. Having watched our three sons grow into exceptional young men and having been inspired by the direct impact of parents, alumni, and friends of Jesuit, we wanted to actively give back to the school that has given so much to our family. Our three boys, Carson ’21, Marshall ’21, and Hudson ’26, were deeply formed by the Jesuit mantra, Men for Others. This core mission reinforced their foundation of faith, family, and selfless service.

While they shared many experiences as students centered on leadership and brotherhood, whether through service in the community, as retreat leaders, or playing on state championship athletic teams, each of their journeys was entirely unique. Jesuit allowed them to grow into the best versions of themselves through their own distinct activities and academic paths. As parents, nothing was more moving than watching them receive their Jesuit Cross at the Junior Cross Mass. It was a significant milestone seemingly cementing their Christian faith, and a moment our family will treasure forever. 

What makes Jesuit truly remarkable is how this community shows up for one another. It is a welcoming, inclusive network where families support each other, and where teachers and coaches become lifelong mentors. The Jesuit community is there to celebrate the good times and provide comfort and support during the difficult ones. We are grateful to be a part of this loving community.

For us, giving back has always been about fostering 100% participation because this community thrives when everyone comes together. The More Than Four appeal reminds us all that the impact of Jesuit extends well beyond four years of high school. Your continued generosity ensures that:

Jesuit is a truly special place, and we are so grateful for the generosity of this loving community. When we first came to campus almost two decades ago, our initial impression of the Jesuit community was incredibly positive, and although years have passed since our boys have graduated, we feel like we have never left. The enduring relationships among alumni, parents, and faculty are truly what make Jesuit so unique.

It was amazing to watch the transformation of our own boys, who graduated in 2011 and 2017, as they grew from wide-eyed freshmen into thoughtful men. Their Jesuit experience – academics, service, spiritual formation, and athletics – created a foundation for adulthood and we are so grateful for those experiences. After hearing all the wonderful stories from their adventures, senior service became our favorite Jesuit tradition. Jesuit didn’t just prepare them for college and the working world; it inspired them to consistently seek ways to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Our deep gratitude for this School spans generations. Our father attended Jesuit in the 1950s, and it was only with the help of financial aid that he was able to receive this wonderful education. That strong spirit of paying it forward continues today, and that is why we continue to give back.

We have loved keeping up with our grandson, Will, and hearing all about his studies, baseball games, and activities at Jesuit. It has been a wonderful blessing to watch him build lifelong friendships, grow in his faith, and take steps toward becoming a Man for Others. 

The mission at Jesuit is steeped in tradition, camaraderie, and faithfulness. What a heart-warming sight it is to witness Jesuit students performing service with a focus not on the hours they are accumulating but on the impact they are providing and their joy in the difference they are making in someone else’s life. 

Jesuit instills a deep sense of self-worth and confidence in these boys. Students grow into young men by focusing on their own unique strengths, leaving campus after four years as well-rounded individuals armed with the ambition and skills to change the world.

Grandparents of Will ’28

More Than Four is the parents of graduates, grandparents, and friends portion of our annual giving program and is designed to offset annual operating expenses and bolster Jesuit’s endowment. More Than Four gives our parents of graduates, grandparents and friends the opportunity to continue supporting the next generation of Men for Others.

Your gifts to More Than Four directly benefit the student experience by creating scholarships and enabling programs and opportunities beyond those covered by tuition alone. Your annual participation reinforces trust in our mission, helps suppress tuition, and can influence major donors, corporations, and foundations when they are considering their own investments.

Your gift to More Than Four can be allocated in 3 different ways:

1. Annual Operations: Jesuit intentionally seeks to suppress tuition, remaining as much as 33% lower than our peer schools. In helping to keep tuition affordable, we rely on support toward our annual operations to fill the GAP between the cost of educating a student and what we charge as tuition. The GAP for the 2026-27 school year is $2,920.
2. General Endowment: Endowment support ensures that all our students in need of financial assistance receive the aid that they need. Currently, 25% of our students are receiving financial aid. Jesuit is uniquely committed to enrolling every qualified student accepted for admission without regard to his family’s financial situation. 
3. Other Endowment Fund: Donors can contribute to an existing endowment fund created at Jesuit Dallas. Endowment funds can be a permanent, self-sustaining source of funding for students, programs, faculty, and operational needs. All contributions are fully tax-deductible.

There are many ways to make your pledge or gift, including the form at the bottom of this webpage, by returning the pledge card you may have received in the mail, or by giving us a call.  Gifts can be made in one payment or in monthly installments and by check, credit card and through stock or wire transfer. 

If you’re interested in doubling your gift, many employers will match charitable contributions made by their employees.  To find out if your company has a matching gift program, visit our donor resources webpage or ask your HR department.  For those that qualify, consider paying from your Donor Advised Fund (DAF) or making a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD).
