Many Jesuit students, alumni, and staff spend the Holiday Season working to provide a Merry Christmas for underserved families, including junior Charlie Borowczak, whose work in support of the Salvation Army has resulted in Christmas gifts for hundreds of children in North Texas.
Beginning in 2010 after adopting a single angel, Charlie’s Angels has continued to grow each year, as Charlie has partnered with friends and family (The Shop Squad) to raise funds for theSalvation Army Angel Tree program. This December, Charlie’s Angels raised $18,500 to provide gifts for 185 children. The effort has grown so large that it has been requested that gifts be delivered to the Salvation Army warehouse directly.
Charlie, who appeared on national television as a sixth grader for his efforts, was highlighted in the Jesuit Today and recently featured on WFAA Channel 8.
