Talented musician. Hard working student. Enthusiastic volunteer. Jesuit ambassador. All titles that could be accorded to senior Andy Guerrero, a friend to everyone and a role model for Jesuit’s younger students. Guerrero has shined for four years as a member of the Jesuit Musicians Union, and as a leader in the concert and jazz band programs where he has served as both equipment lieutenant and band chaplain.
One faculty nomination said, “Andy has a way of making each student feel important and seen. When 8th graders visit, he welcomes them individually and demonstrates true excitement that they are here. He is a joy to have in class and a good young man.”
Andy is a graduate of the Higher Achievement Program and has remained connected to the program each summer since becoming a Jesuit student. Another nomination stated, “Andy has been tremendous with our HAP students. He is so understanding, welcoming, and kind and is a great advocate for Jesuit. It’s not seemingly any one thing. His passion for service, music, and ministry is admirable.”
Congratulations to Ranger of the Week, Andy Guerrero.
