Sophomore Ashton Krug was instrumental in leading the setup and cleanup of the Class of 2026 Family Welcome BBQ, which brought together hundreds of new Jesuit families, faculty, and staff for an outstanding evening of community. As a member of the Jesuit Dallas Grounds Crew, Ashton has positively impacted the younger students on campus, and his leadership at the Welcome BBQ was the latest in an impressive list of service toward his classmates that began with Freshman Retreat.

“Ashton uplifts the entire School with his vibrant approach to serving others,” read a faculty nomination. “He is energetic, compassionate, and loving.”

Ashton, who serves as a mentor and tutor at United to Learn Holy Cross Lutheran Camp, is also an admissions ambassador, a respected member of the football and track & field programs, and participates in the bible-based student group, Godly Guys.

Another teacher shared, “Ashton embodies a contagious heart for loving and serving others. He is a young man who aspires to set the world aflame with his love for Jesus.”

His coaches remarked on his constant positivity and selfless commitment to the team, which also manifested this year in another interesting way. “Ashton started showing up to JV soccer games to support his classmates. Then he began helping around the sidelines. Before I knew it, he had named himself the soccer program’s official manager. He traveled to away games and even came to the banquet, all to support his friends, expecting nothing in return. He just has that kind of giving spirit. He is generous, supportive, encouraging, and a great reminder of how athletics can bring people together in unexpected ways.”

A true Man for Others, congratulations to Ranger of the Week, Ashton Krug.
