Our last Ranger of the Week for the 2021-22 school year is senior Lucas Ferguson, and a faculty nomination states it perfectly: “As we walk through the halls each day, we pass individuals who strive to positively impact Jesuit and our greater community. Lucas Ferguson has spent the last four years humbly seeking those opportunities. Over the course of his time here, Lucas has cooked breakfast as a member of the Manna for Others Program and has volunteered for the H.E.R.O.E.S Program, Meals on Wheels, and Chance’s Pie Shop, a business operated by employees with special needs. He has been part of the Jesuit Investment Club, and for the last two years, he has served as one of the captains of the Jesuit Dallas cycling team. Lucas earned his captaincy not through his wins but by modeling diligence, ethical choices, and cura personalis.”
A talented student, Lucas was recognized this past fall in the College Board National Scholars program. Like many seniors, he has developed a strong commitment to service and come to embody the Profile of a Graduate.
A member of the administration added, “Lucas’ work with the team at Chance's Pie shop this year was incredible. The director remarked on his compassion and dedication working with his colleagues with special educational and physical needs, while his leadership efforts in the Manna for Others program was inspiring.”
Congratulations to Ranger of the Week, Lucas Ferguson.
