Senior Beckett Polma has been described as a “relationship generator.” Last year, Polma managed the launching of a service program at Young Men’s Leadership Academy, and because of his work, that partnership continues to grow.
Polma is a Senior Kairos retreat leader and a member of the Big Brothers executive team, where he assisted with freshman orientation, was a freshman retreat leader, and has been a valuable resource for new Jesuit students.
A dedicated member of the Jesuit Dallas powerlifting team and president of the recycling club, Beckett spent part of his summer in Guatemala helping to lead Jesuit’s outreach efforts and recently earned his Eagle Scout.
A nominating faculty member said, “Beckett is an unsung hero who is involved with many things at Jesuit. He’s an awesome kid and very deserving of Ranger of the Week.” Another nomination singled out his tremendous work with YMLA: “Beckett has an amazing volunteer spirit. He helped us establish a genuine connection with the Young Men’s Leadership Academy, and it’s a relationship we hope to maintain moving forward.”
