“Passionate, loving, and selfless,” sophomore Corbin Hicks has been a leading member of the men's chorus and music ministry programs at Jesuit for the past two years. Using his voice to uplift the community, Corbin’s passion for music, Christ, and his fellow classmates continues to enrich school-wide Mass and the celebration of worship on campus.

“A tremendous student who embraces the values of Christian leadership, Corbin juggles challenging courses with a broad range of extra-curricular involvement,” described a member of the faculty. “He bravely performed as a cantor for Mass in front of the whole school as a freshman, using his gifts to inspire faculty, staff, and peers. His dedication and willingness to lead is something we should all aspire to emulate.”

A key member of the varsity bowling team that recently finished fifth overall at the Texas Bowling Center Association (TBCA) Regional Tournament, Corbin’s busy and eclectic extracurricular schedule also includes serving as an editor for the Yearbook, admissions ambassador, and participation in Leadership Huddle and the sophomore leadership organization, 24/7.   

One nomination shared, “Corbin is a caring and responsible young man whose interests and activities are varied and include clubs with humanitarian goals like 24/7 that fuel his aspirations to make this world a better place for others.” Another added, “Corbin’s involvement in bowling, chorus, and the chess club goes past simple participation. His eagerness is readily apparent in the classroom as well. He is warm and inviting, and always encouraging. Exhibiting a genuine openness to growth, Corbin sets an amazing example for his Jesuit brothers and our community is immeasurably better because of his presence.”
