Described as a kind and caring student, junior Michael Grant balances life at Jesuit with a detailed commitment to academics, athletics, and spiritual formation. A recipient of multiple awards at last year’s Underclassmen Convocation for academic and extracurricular excellence, Michael is deeply involved with several Christian leadership organizations on campus and has actively participated in every School Mass since the start of his sophomore year.

“Students seem to gravitate towards Michael as a leader, encourager, and friend,” said a member of the Jesuit staff. “He is a founding member of Rangers for Life and has helped us create a vision for the club and assist in its growth.”

In addition to his leadership efforts through Rangers for Life and Faithful Fellas, Michael has served in the Dallas community at Human Impact, Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas Fall Festival, and Rays of Light supporting those with special educational needs. This year, he is also working with Faith in Action supporting the United Methodist Church Food Pantry. A forward in the Jesuit Dallas Basketball program, Michael made the varsity team as a sophomore and has been described by his coaches as one of the best learners in the program.

“Known as ‘MG’ among his teammates and coaches, Michael has shown tremendous growth in just a short period of time and is a pleasure to be around,” exclaimed a member of the coaching staff. “He’s been like a sponge this fall with his ability to make himself better on the court, through film, and in the weight room. We also take a lot of pride seeing Michael’s commitment to his faith throughout the Jesuit community. His work ethic is exceptional, and he sets an outstanding example for his peers.”

Congratulations to Ranger of the Week, Michael Grant ’25.
