Whether in service to his peers, prospective Jesuit families, or the global community, junior Alex Ramsey gives unselfishly of his time and embraces opportunities for leadership. His ongoing work as an admissions ambassador has been recognized on multiple occasions, as his enthusiasm and love of Jesuit is infectious and makes our visitors feel welcome.
“Alex is articulate, kind, and energetic when he engages with prospective students,” one nomination described. “In addition to leading family tours on campus, he is excellent serving on the student panel at our eighth-grade visits.” A faculty member added, “Alex recently served as a freshman retreat leader, an important role in the spiritual formation of a first-year student at Jesuit. Through his leadership in Religious Rangers, I get to hear about him talk openly about his faith, and then witness him walking this path with incredible kindness, and generosity.”
A College Board National Hispanic Scholar and Patrick E. Haggerty Math/Science Scholars Award recipient, Alex is an enthusiastic and committed member of the Jesuit Dallas Entrepreneurship Club. He also consistently priorities others and community over self as evident in his work with Fighting Homelessness, a Dallas-area non-profit, his work as a tutor and program leader with United to Learn, and the leadership he has provided at our immigration center in Monterrey, Mexico and our health and nutrition programs in Guatemala.
“Alex approaches every subject with a genuine curiosity, eager to understand the why behind every concept. He finds joy in the process of discovery, often diving deeper into topics simply because he enjoys the challenge of learning. Alex is kind, loving, and a great role model for the student body.”
Congratulations to Ranger of the Week, Alex Ramsey ’26.
