Through his work ethic and character, senior Caleb Steger ’25 has served as a tremendous role model for his Jesuit brothers. Every nomination seeking to recognize Caleb came with the descriptor, Leader, in chronicling the various ways in which he demonstrates his commitment to being a Man for Others. Most recently, Caleb was named the 2025 UIL District 7-6A Most Valuable Player after leading the Rangers to a share of the UIL 7-6A District Championship and a second-round berth in the basketball state playoffs.
“Caleb is very authentic in his care for Jesuit and his classmates,” a coach detailed. “He brings encouragement and joy in all of his encounters, and despite his many accolades, remains focused on uplifting his teammates and fostering a culture of excellence and unity.”
An excellent student, Caleb serves as an Executive Big Brother and was a Senior Community Days leader, where he was commended for his efforts leading small and large groups. He is currently representing Jesuit at United to Learn and is completing his senior service intensive with My Martial Arts. He has also volunteered for projects at St. Nicholas Charities and Rays of Light, which is dedicated to serving children with special needs.
“Caleb is hardworking, thoughtful, and pushes others around him to their fullest potential,” wrote another nomination. “Through his work in Big Brothers, I’ve seen him create important relationships that make our community more inclusive and welcoming for everyone. It was clear from his first year that he would become a positive leader in our school community, and we are so proud of him for all the ways he has made Jesuit better.”
Congratulations to Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week, Caleb Steger ’25!
