Senior Eli Prieur was recently commended for his contributions during new companion orientation at the start of the year, and as a member of Faithful Fellas, volunteered to lead a prayer activity for new teachers and staff at Jesuit. As one faculty member described, “Eli has been exceptionally open to the mission of Jesuit.”
After being selected as a Junior Kairos retreat leader last year, Eli was selected as a freshman retreat leader this year and will also lead a Senior Kairos retreat for his classmates. “Eli is one of the most dedicated and committed members of Faithful Fellas,” one nomination detailed. “He volunteers to lead meetings, he volunteered to meet with the provincial’s assistant, and he helped to coordinate a prayer service during the junior retreat. He is truly a Man for Others.”
Eli, who participated in the social justice immersion program in Quito, Ecuador, is dedicating his time this year serving with the nonprofit advocacy group, Fighting Homelessness. He is also a member of Jesuit’s Hope for Honduras team participating in outreach and international friendship with our orphanage partner, Hogar Suyapa, and is a valued member of the Jesuit Dallas Soccer program.
One of his coaches shared, “Eli is a hard worker and good defender, and above all he is a good teammate,” while another coach offered, “Eli’s gift on the field is his speed and work ethic, but he doesn’t seek the limelight and is happy to give credit to his teammates. He is humble, dependable, considerate, and always willing to help others.”
Congratulations to Ranger of the Week, Eli Prieur ’25.
