Described as an all-around, excellent student, and a true Man for Others, senior Jaeger Krauss has embraced the mantle of leadership in all areas of his formation. The 2024 recipient of the Scott Lewis McWhorter ’93 Scholarship in recognition of his commitment to the Jesuit experience, Jaeger has been active this fall as a leader in the Big Brothers program.

“Jaeger serves the Jesuit community with humility and grace,” a faculty member observed. “His faith in God is foremost in his life, a faith that manifests in all areas of his life, from football to track to community service to his active participation in all his classes.  I have never known him to complain about anything; he simply gets the job done and does so without expectation of reward.”

A member of the student faith group, Faithful Fellas, as well as the newly formed Honor our Heroes, Jaeger is also a starting wide receiver for Jesuit Dallas Football and was elected as a team captain for the 2024 season. He traveled to the Caribbean as part of the marine biology program, and this past summer worked with members from the Quispicanchi Project to live amongst the people of Peru’s Sacred Valley. This year, he is fulfilling his senior service working at the Rise School of Dallas, mentoring students in and out of the classroom.

“Jaeger exemplifies humility, kindness, and a faith filled spirit in everything he does,” read another nomination. “His dedication to his academics is matched only by his strength of character, showing that true excellence comes from both the mind and the heart. Jaeger not only speaks about the importance of love and service but lives it out daily, whether it's through his involvement in sports or his commitment to his community. He consistently leads by example, modeling the theme of loving others and walking the walk in every aspect of his life.”

Congratulations to Ranger of the Week, Jaeger Krauss ’25!
