Senior Mario Zamora has been described as conscientious with a remarkable dedication to serving others. Inspired by his volunteer service at the Wilkinson Center this past summer, Mario currently represents Jesuit Dallas as the site ambassador at the Wilkinson Center, motivating and guiding his classmates in providing food and support services to underserved members of our community.
“Mario has shown a strong commitment to service leadership and always approaches tasks with a sense of teamwork and purpose,” described a Jesuit administrator. “The program director at the Wilkinson Center has communicated with the Jesuit faculty about Mario’s tremendous dedication and his ability to use his skills to make others feel welcome.”
An excellent soccer player who has earned three varsity letters while helping to lead Jesuit to three UIL Bi-District Championships, Mario has been actively involved in various extracurricular activities, including the Jesuit Political Society, the Multicultural Society, the Engineering Society, the Asian Student Union, and Hermanos Unidos. Last year, Mario participated in the Guadalajara exchange program and engaged in service initiatives to assist older adults with daily activities in a nursing home in Mexico.
A faculty member said, “Mario is a global citizen and a role model for his peers. He works hard and holds himself to a high standard while his work ethic sets a positive tone for younger students.” Another nomination added, “Mario is a kind, intelligent, and truly caring toward his Jesuit brothers. He manages to balance a commitment to academics with a heavy extracurricular load and is always fun to work with and be around.”
Congratulations to Ranger of the Week, Mario Zamora ’25.
