Despite being one of the youngest members on the Jesuit Dallas Student Council, sophomore Michael Tobin delivered exceptional leadership in helping to organize Ranger Day and the Homecoming Dance on back-to-back days. As he arrived early, brought great energy, rallied the troops, and led the clean-up efforts for both events, his willing spirit and commitment to the Jesuit experience was continually noted and praised.
“Michael is sincere and absolutely lovable,” a nomination detailed. “He has a great sense of humor and doesn’t mind laughing at himself. He is disarming to adults and peers alike; you’ll see him talking to both at all times of the day. He doesn’t try to be this way to impress, but he is authentic in his love of people and Jesuit experiences.”
Kind, courteous, and creative, Michael is a committed member of the Jesuit Dallas Swimming team and was selected to serve on the Freshman Advisory Board . This year, he is dedicating his service time with the community of United Rocks in Plano, whose mission is to promote physical, mental, and social skills through the sport of rock climbing for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
“A student who makes it a priority to elevate the quality of people's lives, Michael approaches each day with contagious energy and generosity,” said a member of the faculty. “He embraces his time at Jesuit with a spirit of gratitude, fully knowing that our mission of developing men for and with others transpires in everyday interactions. Michael's daily commitment to internalize the mission and profile of Jesuit Dallas inspires our community. We are a stronger, more loving community because of Michael Tobin.”
Congratulations to Michael Tobin ’27, Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week!
