We are humbled by the compassion of young men like senior Thomas Fino, who models what it means to be Men for and with Others through his work in the community and care for his Jesuit brothers. Most recently, Thomas served as part of Jesuit’s Thanksgiving Meals on Wheels team where he spent part of his holiday helping to ensure that seniors across Dallas received a Thanksgiving meal.
“Thomas is an excellent student, a committed teammate, and a selfless volunteer and leader,” one nomination described. “Kind and caring, he challenges himself academically and works hard to achieve his goals.”
An AP Scholar with Distinction, Thomas leads the volunteer efforts at St. Patrick Catholic School and Church of Dallas and works with “Fighting Homelessness” as the senior ambassador for a new cohort focusing on juvenile homelessness. He has been a dedicated freshman retreat small group leader for the past two years, is an associate editor with The Roundup, part of the Jesuit Dallas Engineering Society, and is a valuable member of the Jesuit Dallas Hockey program. Last season, Thomas finished the year as the team’s leading scorer while helping to lead Jesuit to a state title and a spot in the USA Hockey High School National Championships.
“Thomas is an awesome student leader!” a member of the counseling staff exclaimed. “I have watched him grow in maturity, strength, and commitment. He displays leadership, integrity, and character in even the most challenging situations. I am very proud of him and look forward to watching him further develop as a Man for Others.
Congratulations to Thomas Fino ’25, Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week!
