Inspired by the core Ignatian principle of service and a commitment to others, Zach Dsouza ’25 is a passionate learner who has channeled his energy and talents to make a positive difference in the community. As a senior leader in the Ignatian Service Corps, Zach serves as Jesuit’s service agency ambassador for Project Unity and St. Philip’s School and Community Center.
“Encouraging classmates. Leading by example. His commitment reflects his passion for building solidarity and mentoring others,” a program director shared in describing Zach. “Agency partners consistently praise Zach’s leadership, recognizing his team building presence and ability to inspire those around him.”
Described as intellectually curious, hardworking, and according to one teacher, “far beyond his peers in grasping and applying the nuances of AP Macroeconomics,” Zach is a talented performer in the classroom where is both a National Merit Commended Scholar and an AP Scholar with Honor. He has also earned awards at Jesuit for excellence in AP Chemistry and U.S. History.
As one nomination detailed, “Zach finds true interest and inspiration from learning, not just from grades. He is also very conscientious and concerned for humanity and the betterment of people's lives.” Another nomination added, “Zach takes his work seriously, but not himself. He is thoughtful and insightful and reflects our desire for all Jesuit students to live as a true Man for Others.”
