Serving as the founding president of Jesuit’s DECA chapter, junior Christian Raju ’27 was instrumental in recently helping the Rangers deliver an outstanding performance at the 2026 Texas DECA State Career Development Conference and Competition. Christian was one of 17 Jesuit Dallas students to qualify for the state competition and thanks to his leadership, two Jesuit students advanced to the DECA International competition later this spring.
“Christian consistently displays outstanding leadership and character,” said one of the faculty moderators of Jesuit’s DECA chapter. “He led a team of students to compete through their first-ever DECA experience, encouraging them to step outside their comfort zones and take on new challenges with confidence. He leads with humility, treats others with kindness, and models a strong work ethic in everything he does. Christian truly embodies what it means to be a Man for Others.”
A member of the Jesuit Dallas Multicultural Society and Engineering Society, last summer, Christian served alongside a group of Jesuit students living amongst the people of Peru’s Sacred Valley. His leadership outside of the classroom undeniable, staff and classmates remarked on his work ethic, empathy, and commitment to academics.
“Christian takes in every moment of class, eager to gain as much insight and knowledge as possible. Thoroughly prepared, he thrives in group settings, contributing to the discussion in meaningful ways, and often leading his group by assigning specific tasks to each member. A leader in the making, Christian is both resilient and self-aware as he works unceasingly to reach his goals, while also seeking to understand his own strengths and weaknesses. Jesuit is lucky to have Christian.”
Congratulations to Christian Raju ’27, Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week!
