Senior Ethan Irrobali ’26 recently shared the findings of his research project in the UT Southwestern Medical Center STARS program in a presentation to the Jesuit Dallas community. Selected this summer to work alongside scientific researchers to help advance understanding for how the cellular architecture of the spinal cord is wired to higher order brain centers, the results of Ethan’s pioneering research may be published in scientific and medical journals and is a remarkable academic achievement.
“Ethan is one of our school's brightest talents,” a faculty member enthusiastically reported. “He is Intellectually competent as a skilled speaker and writer as well as dedicated to high achievement in science. However, Ethan is not merely interested in pursuing a future of self-interest; he dreams of pursuing meaningful work that serves others. He understands the Christian, Catholic mission of our school. He is gifted, yet humble, kind, and respectful. He’s a good friend and a curious learner.”
Having the rare distinction of serving as a freshman retreat leader multiple times, Ethan is a three-year member of Hope Squad, Community Days leader, Executive Big Brother, and captain of the cross country team. He is also an AP Scholar with Distinction and National Merit Commended Scholar. One of his coaches said, “Ethan exemplifies the model of a true student-athlete at Jesuit. He approaches academics and extracurriculars with the same degree of drive and discipline, always striving for excellence. His commitment to learning is matched by his leadership, where as captain, he leads by example—motivating his teammates through his determination, resilience, and positive attitude.”
Another staff member added, “Ethan is one of those incredible students who you assume was named Ranger of the Week back in his sophomore year. He clearly loves Jesuit and is always leading his peers in school spirit. From winning the Ranger Cup with his homeroom during freshman year to now being a top student and leader in the school, Ethan consistently models strong work ethic and a commitment to being a Man for Others.”
Congratulations to Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week, Ethan Irrobali ’26!
