Described as a reliable and steady leader by friends, faculty, and coaches, senior Gabriel James’ passion for his Jesuit brothers was on full display at Senior Community Days where his leadership helped contribute to a successful week.
“Gabe is a great teammate and a standout member of the community,” shared a fellow student, while a member of the counseling staff added, “Gabe is the epitome of a mentor. The freshman class has benefited greatly from his energy as a Big Brother Executive, while his calming presence and supportive attitude is widely acknowledged amongst his peers.”
Gabe is a nationally recognized four-star goalie for Jesuit Dallas Lacrosse and a starting linebacker in the varsity football program. A member of the Black Student Union, he is a member of the senior service practicum leadership team at Project Unity where he works with classmates, community leaders, pastors, and law enforcement to facilitate community development and solidarity in Dallas. Gabe also serves as a tutor and mentor at St. Philips School and Community Center and volunteers in Jesuit’s special education programs at United Rocks in Plano.
“Gabe has a passion for helping every community member know that they belong,” one nomination explained. “He is a wonderful student in class and someone who leads by example. Whether he is helping his Jesuit brothers grow in their faith or assisting in their own formation as leaders, Gabe is the consummate team player and someone who can always be counted on to make a positive difference.”
Congratulations to Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week, Gabriel James ’26!
