A natural leader who has been praised for his consistently outstanding efforts in and out of the classroom, sophomore Tyler Ezetendu is a two-year member of Hope Squad, and recently led several mental health awareness events on campus.

“Tyler is an exceptional young man and that was reinforced during his exemplary leadership with Hope Squad this past week,” wrote a nominating administrator. “He has a servant heart and a calming presence and is always willing to take charge when needed.” A teacher added, “Tyler consistently produces outstanding academic work, demonstrates leadership by always doing what is right, and exhibits genuine kindness in all his interactions.”

In addition to his work with Hope Squad, Tyler is a dedicated member of the robotics and swimming programs and also serves as an Admissions Ambassador and on the Grounds Crew. This past spring, he was presented with the prestigious JWA Man for Others Award, earning a scholarship for exemplifying through words and actions what it means to be a Jesuit student. Over the summer, he worked with the Down Syndrome Guild of Dallas.

“Tyler works hard doing the right things even when he’s not being watched,” one of his coaches shared. “He doesn’t have to command respect; he earns it by being a great role model that everyone wants to emulate. Tyler is extremely kind and humble and takes pride in the quality of the team's work and effort.” Another faculty member said, “Tyler is intellectually perceptive. His interactions with his peers reflect an innate sense of love and he allows himself to wonder and to open his mind to new ideas. He works hard, keeps a positive attitude, and consistently seeks to perform at the highest level, while also helping his peers to do the same. He is a wonderful example of a Jesuit Student.”

Congratulations to sophomore Tyler Ezetendu ’28, Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week!
