Sophomore Braden Cannon was recently appointed to the UT Southwestern and Grant Halliburton Foundation Mental Health Youth Advisory Board. The prestigious honor, which highlights Braden’s commitment on the Jesuit Dallas Hope Squad, is a testament to his focus on the well-being of his classmates and fellow citizens.

“Braden leaves a lasting impression with everyone he meets,” noted one school counselor. “He has an infectious smile, great sense of humor, and sets a wonderful example in the classroom.”

Braden is extremely devoted to his faith, serving as a leader in the student group, Faithful Fellas, and traveling around the country throughout the summer singing at assisted living centers with his youth choir. In addition to serving as an admissions ambassador and member of the Jesuit Dallas tennis program, he is part of the sophomore service leadership group, 24/7, where we works and provides fellowship for those experiencing homelessness each Sunday morning at Austin Street Center.

“Braden is an excellent student and a natural born leader,” a faculty member shared. “He encourages his classmates, and prospective families have remarked after tours that he is a wonderful host. He carries himself with courage and is one of the most respectful students I have ever encountered. It is an honor to be able to be a part of his journey here at Jesuit!”

Congratulations to Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week, Braden Cannon ’29!
