Joshua VanDenBerg ’27 went above and beyond this summer serving at St. Joseph’s Residence. While completing his service work, Joshua took on two additional special projects to help the agency.
“Joshua is incredibly humble and always willing to help,” wrote a member of the Community Service Office. “He sees service as one of the most meaningful parts of the Jesuit experience, and he consistently looks for ways to do more for others.”
That same spirit carries into Joshua’s relationships with his classmates and teachers. “Joshua has both a love for learning and a love for people,” wrote one teacher. “He approaches conversations with curiosity and an open mind, and you can always count on a bright smile and a warm welcome from Joshua.”
Joshua also challenges himself academically, taking five AP courses this semester while encouraging his classmates to set high standards for themselves. On the rugby field, he has been a longtime contributor and a supportive teammate, even through injuries. His coaches describe him as someone who consistently strives for excellence while always supporting his brothers.
Congratulations to senior Joshua VanDenBerg ’27, Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week!
