Senior Charlie McCracken recently served as assistant rector on Junior Kairos 10, demonstrating incredible leadership and commitment to the spiritual formation of the junior class. Charlie’s efforts contributed toward a fantastic student experience and served as another reminder of his deep devotion to his own formation and the growth of his Jesuit brothers.

“Charlie is a fantastic student and friend,” a nomination described. “He’s a positive influence on campus, and his own positivity, cheerfulness, and determination is infectious. He really wants to make a difference and has developed into a true leader for the Class of 2026.”

Charlie is a two-year freshman retreat leader, Executive Big Brother, and an enthusiastic member of the Jesuit Musicians Union, which through the discovery of a hidden talent, is a self-taught and exceptional guitar player. This year, Charlie is serving with Jesuit Hunger Relief, which is focused on alleviating both physical and spiritual hunger among people in the Dallas area in a rotation that covers several agencies. He has also spent a considerable amount of time throughout the year in the Learning Resource Center at Jesuit, helping to support his Jesuit brothers through tutoring and mentorship while also serving as a mentor for new retreat leaders.

“Charlie’s care and concern for his fellow students, including his exceptional work with the freshman class is evident through his volunteer work on and off campus,” a faculty member said. “His peers regularly look to him for guidance and view him as a role model. He is responsible, generous, and has worked hard in committing to his own formation. He is an exceptional young man, and a reflection for what we hope to see in all of our students.”

Congratulations to Jesuit Dallas Ranger of the Week, Charlie McCracken ’26.
