As a new member of the Special Education Leadership Team at Jesuit, junior Cooper Seal ’26 played a key role in the preparation and execution of the 2025 Special Games, which included nearly 400 students attending from seven area schools. Cooper, who was praised for his leadership and noticeable energy, served as part of a small group of junior students who set out all of the event materials, monitored the various stations throughout Jesuit’s outdoor complex, and led the efforts with cleanup.

“Cooper was extremely helpful last Friday and stood out as being particularly upbeat and positive, whether he was filling out lunch order forms or lugging heavy bins of water for the fishing station,” a staff member remarked. “Cooper is a humble leader by example. He is always open and available to help if needed around campus and it was a great sacrifice of time and energy in going above and beyond to help make Special Games a memorable experience for our guests.”

Selected for Junior Kairos, for the past two years, Cooper has been deeply involved with the Belong Ministry programs at Highland Park United Methodist Church (HPUMC). He spent last summer serving with the Chance’s Café crew then continued to lead events during the school year with Chance’s Café and the Explorers social group. In addition to his ongoing commitment to HPUMC, Cooper supported the student athletes from Notre Dame School of Dallas (NDS) as a runner in the Dallas Police Special Olympics Torch Run and at the NDS fall carnival.

“Cooper shared his faith journey with his classmates and showed care and compassion for his brothers in their own faith formation during Kairos,” observed an administrator. “Cooper is cheerful, hardworking, and accepting of everyone, yet what strikes me the most is his tenacity and persevering spirit. He is a kind and positive presence in our community.”

Congratulations to Ranger of the Week, Cooper Seal ’26!
