The Jesuit Debate Team competed in two of its three postseason tournaments over the spring break continuing a 22-year streak of placing at least one team in the top 20 of the State Championships and earning top 10 finishes at both the JV and Novice Nationals.

The Jesuit Debate Team ended the regular season with 18 Debaters competing at the St. Marks Heart of Texas Invitational this past Saturday Sunday Monday where over 200 teams spanning the entire country competed in Novice, JV, and Varsity divisions.
The Varsity Debate Team of sophomores Tejas Murugesh and Jon Noquil earned 3rd place and became the fifth Jesuit team to qualify for the state championships at the Round Rock Invitational this past weekend.
The Varsity Debate Team of seniors Jack Martin and Joshua Ramos made history this past weekend by winning the University of Houston Invitational for the first time in school history.
The Varsity Debate Team continued a long-standing tradition of “Big Brother Debates” where seniors debate with sophomores placing four teams in the top 5 including closing out the finals this past weekend at the Coppell Invitational earning 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the varsity division and third place in the Novice Division.
