Student Life

Program Highlights

Students lead and experience the entire project life cycle with each annual robotics challenge under the guidance and supervision of several faculty members, parents, and mentors who are professionals in the fields of mathematics, science, and engineering.

Jesuit robotics develops partnerships with local and international companies. We often participate in community and corporate events that showcase our students’ achievements, and have presented for The Perot Museum of Nature and Science, TEDxSMU, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, and JC Penney.

Jesuit Robotics helps generate servant leaders through its cooperation with the Community Service and Social Justice program. Our seniors reach out to local Catholic middle schools during their Wednesday service to coach Lego robotics teams.

Jesuit Robotics also reaches out to the local community by hosting a practice day for local FIRST Robotics Competition teams.

Skills and knowledge that can be acquired by participating in the program: leadership; teamwork; mechanical, electrical, and software design; CAD in SolidWorks; programming in Java, Labview, and C++; prototyping with a full machine shop; working alongside professional engineers.
