Counseling and Wellness
Jesuit is proud to provide a comprehensive and robust counseling program to support the emotional, mental, and academic experience.
Students need adults in school with whom they can have a productive relationship and with whom they can talk. In a time when many teens are alienated from adults or may spend less time with their families, the impact adults at Jesuit can have on students is critical. The National Association of School Counselors recommends one counselor for every 250 students. The Texas Education Agency recommends one counselor for every 500 students. The national school average is one counselor for every 1200 students. At Jesuit, we are committed to doing better. Jesuit has twelve counselors or advisors working across the four grade levels. We take pride in asking all adults to serve as mentors, guides, and helpers as students travel to adulthood.
